SANTA MONICA, Calif. – The Chinese balloon flew over Canada and the United States last week. The Canadians and the Americas tracked the balloon as it flew over restricted airspace. The balloon was shot down on Saturday off the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The CIA, FBI, and other agencies salvaged the wreckage and have reportedly found sophisticated surveillance equipment. The Chinese government initially said the balloon was for weather and meteorological purposes. That is was blown off-course. Beijing recently said the U.S. overreacted to the incident.

New allegations emerged that New York Representative, George Santos, possibly wrote bad checks to the Amish for puppies he received. Santos was recently at the State of the Union address in Washington, D.C. when Republican, Mitt Romney, reportedly told Santos, “You don’t belong here.”

President Zelensky of Ukraine was in Belgium this week meeting with leaders from the European Union to ensure their continued support. After almost one year of war with Russia, Ukrainian troops are defending their homeland and borders with the latest technology.

Before sunrise on Monday, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake leveled whole cities in Turkey and Northern Syria. Governments from around the globe pledged both financial aide and support to help with the rescue efforts. It is a race against time find those still alive. 22,000 people have lost their lives in this human tragedy.
