The bomber gained passed through security gates dressed as a police officer before detonating the bomb in front of a mosque where people were praying.
The government of New Zealand declared a state-of-emergency as rains continued to fall in Auckland. Four people have died because of the floods. The financial damage to houses and infrastructure may set the economy back and cause inflation.

For several days, NORAD, the Space Force Installation in Colorado has tracked a high altitude spy balloon. There is evidence the balloon originated in China. After crossing Alaska, the balloon was sighted over Montana. Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken will travel to China next week to discuss this and other important topics.
