Putin has nuclear weapons pointed at Ukraine

As the fighting continues in Ukraine, Russian President Putin places his nuclear arsenal on high-alert, the Associated Press reports. Putin supposedly made the threatening move over concerns that NATO is making “aggressive movements,” in response to his – what most of the world views – an unwarranted invasion of a peaceful country.

The threat of using nuclear warheads against Ukraine changes the dynamic of the invasion dramatically. If nuclear weapons are used, the one U.S. official said, “could make things much, much more dangerous.”

Earlier today, the E.U. announced they would ban all flights of Russian aircraft. They would also finance the donation of weapons to Ukraine, the E.U. added.
