The U.S. Pledged an Additonal $2.2 Billion in Aide to Ukraine

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – U.S. Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, was in Kyiv, Ukraine earlier today to meet with President Zelensky about the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and pledges $2.2 billion in aide.

Blinken told President Zelensky that the United States will continue to support Ukraine’s efforts to thwart Russia’s invasion of the country that has killed thousands and caused an estimated 13 million people to flee their homes and safety.

The $2.2 billion is earmarked to be used for long-term investments by the Ukrainians and their neighbors to bolster the security of the region from future Russian aggression.
